This project was designed to fit into an established neighborhood near downtown Los Gatos. Los Gatos is known for its craftsman/cottage style. The Town has a rigorous design and review process. The parameters often require that a large portion of the houses in this area be below grade. Therefore, this house is much larger than it appears.

The design challenge was to fit this house into the neighborhood seamlessly. The project was lauded by the Town design review process for its sensitivity and well thought out massing.
